Ladies and Gentlemen,
I feel the need to report about a something that is seriously destroying our generation. My friends, it is Youtube.
I know you all must be thinking I’m crazy for saying this, and instead thinking that I should be praising the founders, Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim, for the ingenuity for coming up with such a revolutionary website. However, I would like to point out some instances that Youtube has allowed humanity to take a few steps backwards.
Exhibit A: Doglover199709 (feel free to click on the link and check out her videos).
This is a lost, preteen girl, masquerading as a 15 year old, who posts videos of herself dancing to popular songs. Her most infamous video is of her dancing to Disturbia by Rihanna.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMdWqaN_Tms (Unfortunately, I am unable to embed this video because the function has been disabled by Doglover)
With her mediocre dancing, she has, surprisingly, become an internet sensation. However, not in the way that is the most admirable. She’s become a hit in a way that has allowed her to get mocked at every corner. Youtube, has allowed her to post these videos of herself when she was obviously was looking for an outlet from her daily life. A few years ago, this was not a possibility and such actions would not be on display for the general public. Now, though, as long as she has a webcam, she is able to post these videos of herself without the knowledge of her parents, whom, I would like to assume, would intervene and stop this nonsense.
Exhibit B: LILSHOWSTOPPA (feel free to click on the link and check out her video).
This is another lost girl who decided to upload a video of herself. With coarse language and intense vulgarity, she attempts to make herself seem like a class A B***h who’s not afraid of the world and what it’s got in store for her.
(you all might have to confirm your birthdate, but if you aren’t afraid of the language, I would suggest that you take a look at this 35 second video)
I don’t know what possessed her to think it was ok for her to upload this video, but it’s now out there for the world to see. Not only that, but this has also ushered in a plethora of equally ignorant response videos.
Exhibit C: T-Baby (feel free to click on the link and check out her video).
With the cool and smooth beats that this video begins with, you’d assume that the song would be able to provide a somewhat decent delivery. However, the opening clip of this music video demonstrates that this video has nowhere to go but down.
T-Baby, the main artist in this music video, is….just downright terrible…I’m not sure there are words to describe how bad this is. The mere fact that she got herself off beat towards the end of the song is incredible. She also has given “the d” better known as Detroit, Michigan a horrible reputation that it has to overcome. This rivals the tragedy that the auto crisis has brought to the city. I pray that Detroit may overcome.
Exhibit D: Reh Dogg (feel free to click on the link and check out his videos).
I think most would agree that I saved the worst for last. Reh Dogg is an up and coming rap artist and the following is his breakout song, “Why Must I Cry”
I’m not sure why he’s crying, but I know why I am. This person should not be allowed to upload videos anywhere. In fact, I think what this man needs is help, and I’m not kidding about this. This man has several issues.
These are just a few users that upload videos onto youtube, but I encourage you to evaluate what is being promoted on this website, downright foolishness. We all need to come together and stop abusing this website and stop destroying humanity. We may have had a few laughs at first, myself included, but it is now time to realize that we need to look out for neighbors and stop them from embarrassing us to the world….otherwise we’d think it was perfectly ok with displaying our faults so publicly.
